I am one of those people who wears the same jewellery day in, day out. Obviously on nights out I will change things up or add to my everyday jewellery. The only thing I change on a regular basis would be my earrings. Sometimes I can go weeks without wearing any earrings, then I'll suddenly go mad and change them every day! However, there are three piece of jewellery I very rarely take off...
1. Guess watch
2. Pandora bracelet
3. Pandora ring
I wouldn't be caught anywhere without a watch. In work, I check the time every two minutes! I like watches that are a bit chunkier. I also like a bit of bling, which is why this watch was made for me. I love the royal purple colour, the large face, and the jewels surrounding the watch face. My Mam bought it for me last Christmas so it's quite special to me. I know it is quite a fancy watch to wear everyday but I firmly believe in having one good watch to spruce up any outfit. The screen is scratched a bit now though so I think I will look at bringing it to somebody to try and give it a bit of a clean-up!
The second item I don't leave my house without is my Pandora bracelet. An ex-boyfriend bought it for me a few years ago and since then I've been building up my charm collection quite slowly. I love the idea behind the charm bracelet. Each charm has a story behind it. Apologies for the poor quality of my close up pictures, but I wanted to show you my ladybird charms. I went for a green/ blue theme on my bracelet so was delighted when I received the green ladybird charm as a present from a family member. My Mam also bought me the silver ladybird charm in the bottom picture as a surprise for me finishing exams a few years ago. I don't know why I love ladybirds so much, but I just think they look adorable on my bracelet.
This is the final piece of jewellery that I wear every day. It is a simple ring but I love that in the middle of the flower, there is one single jewel. It blings it up a little bit! My Mam bought this for me too... Shocker! She understands my taste exactly.
As you can see from this collection, I am a fan of silver jewellery. I love gold jewellery with a particular outfit so it's not that I don't like it, I just always seem to be drawn towards silver jewellery when shopping. Maybe I should break out of that habit?

First Glimpse of my Style
This is my first post showing something I would wear. This was a night out for my best friend Fiona's 21st birthday! As I didn't realise I was going to be setting up a blog, I have no close up photos of just me in my outfit... It's all group photos. Not that I'm complaining about being pictured with all my gorgeous friends. Fiona is living in Berlin for the year for college, so this was the first night in months the whole group was able to get together for a catch up! We had such a great night!
Here is a close up of the different pieces I wore...
This is a crop top I purchased in Urban Outfitters. This shop is one of my favourites but I rarely buy anthing in there at full price... It's simply too expensive for my meagre budget. The sale is amazing though as they always have sizes remaining no matter how late you are to get a glance around. This top cost €21 although I made sure to get my 10% student discount on top of that.
I absolutely adore this skirt! The moment I saw it I knew I had to have it. It is also an Urban Outfitters purchase. It is a velvet skirt with a paisley design. I love the colour, shape, fabric, everything! At €49, I really shouldn't have bought it but I just couldn't resist (No wonder I'm so bad at saving). I made sure to get my 10% student discount again though. I wouldn't have paired it with the crop top when I saw them together, but when I tried them on I felt they went quite well together.
I purchased these shoes in Penneys ( Primark), where I work. As they are Limited Edition, they were €24, which is slightly more expensive than what you would normally pay for shoes there. I'm terrible for taking my heels off early on in the night because I just can't handle my feet being in pain, so I always make sure my heels are comfortable. These shoe boots are the most comfortable I've bought in a long time. I managed to last the entire night in them. I've worn them quite often recently, which is why they look quite scruffy in these pictures.
This is a random picture I felt I should add in because I love how happy we all look! Must be some private joke going on? I won't discuss the jewellery I wore on the night as I came straight from work to Fiona's and I forgot to plan ahead. I ended up just having to wear my everyday jewellery, which I will go into more detail in on my next post.
My perfume collection
My first blog post is going to be about my collection of perfumes. Anybody who knows me is aware that I loooove quirky perfume bottles. I keep the bottles after they are empty as I just can't bear to part with them.
The above picture shows a small part of my vast collection. In my opinion, perfumes have the ability to create that final touch, making you feel confident as you leave your house. As you can see I am of a fan of Marc Jacobs perfume in particular. I have every perfume he has created thus far. Not only are the bottles fab, they smell amazing too. I'm now going to discuss my personal favourites...Dot by Marc Jacobs is my perfume of choice at the moment. It launched last August and I've wanted it ever since. As my blog might suggest, I adore anything ladybird related. So, obviously this bottle just had to be added to my already extensive collection. I was disappointed after many blatant hints not to receive it from anybody as a Christmas present, however, my amazing mother bought it for me as a surprise when I was having a bad week. She left it on my pillow and it genuinely made my week when I discovered it. She actually bought the gift set for me, which includes a body lotion and shower gel... I am in love!!
Before Dot stole my heart, Lola by Marc Jacobs was my go to fragrance. Again the bottle was what first caught my eye... but the actual smell is gorgeous too. It has quite a strong floral scent. I know some people prefer more subtle scents, I'm the opposite. I love a scent that really stands out. I also got this in the gift set which came with a lovely mini version which I can carry around in my handbag. The set was such a bargain at only €28.50 in Harvey Nichols, including body lotion and shower gel.
Giorgio Armani, Armani Code- This perfume is a classic in my opinion. I have this bottle years and am trying to save it for as long as possibly because I really can't afford to invest in it anytime soon. I can't even describe the smell of it but I've gotten so many compliments when I wear this scent. When buying perfume as a present, this is generally the one I always feel is a safe purchase. I have yet to find somebody who isn't a fan.
Chanel, Coco Madamoiselle- This is another bottle I've had for many years as it's nearly empty. My Dad bought this for me as a birthday present years ago and I don't think I really appreciated at the time quite how expensive it is. I recently bought it for my best friend Fiona for her 21st and the 50ml bottle was €80 in boots!! If I'd known back then it's cost, I may have used it a little bit more sparingly. The scent to put it simply, is expensive. This perfume always makes me feel so much more elegant so I wear it to special events.
Live by Jennifer Lopez is a more budget friendly favourite of mine. This has a lively floral scent and I love how the bottle looks like an old fashioned potion bottle! Boots always have deals on this perfume so you'd never have to spend more than €20 on the small bottle of this. This is probably my third or fourth bottle of it as I use it so often.
This is the final perfume I'll discuss. It's called Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears. Again, this is a perfume to buy when on a budget. This was bought in Gran Canaria during the summer for about €15 euro! You wouldn't have to pay much more for it in Ireland. I love most Britney Spears perfumes. As you can see in my first picture I have both Curious and Fantasy aswell. However, at the moment, Midnight Fantasy just seems to have a fresher scent for me.
Apologies for the long first post... I just felt my perfume collection deserved its moment in the spotlight!
Blogging Virgin
Hellooo,
My name is Ashlinn. I'm 20 years old. I was originally born in The Netherlands but have been living in Dublin, Ireland since I was 6 years old. I'm in third year at UCD studying Business & Law. I work part time in Penneys (Primark) which has only encouraged my obsession with all things fashion.
I thought it was about time I start up a blog about all things fashion related as it takes up so much of my time anyway!! I have some friends who are avid bloggers and it got me interested in the idea of showcasing my own personal style and recommendations. I'm completely new to this so...
... we'll see how this goes...
